new book, Cutting Edge Therapies for
Autism 2011-2012, Larry Newman, a 40-year veteran of the nutraceutical
industry, reviews current diets and dietary supplements commonly used for
individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
Newman is the chief operating
officer for Kirkman®, a 62 year-old pharmaceutical and nutraceutical company that specializes
in manufacturing nutritional supplements for individuals with special
sensitivities and dietary requirements.
Newman joined Kirkman® in 1999.
Before that he was Vice President of Operations, Technical Affairs, for Hall Laboratories in Portland, OR. Hall Laboratories was a major supplier of pharmaceuticals and nutritional supplements to Costco.
Newman graduated from the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy and received his B.A. in Chemistry from San Fernando State in Northridge, CA.
